Membership and Payment for 2018/19

The club continues to increase in size since it was established and I am very proud to have fourteen teams playing matches in this, our sixth season. We have maintained our FA Charter Standard status which is a very important accreditation in youth football and for some leagues, a mandatory requirement.

We now within the club have:

1 x UEFA A - male coach,

1 x UEFA B - female coach

1 UEFA B GK coach,

1 x FA Level 2 coach

8 x FA Level 1 Coaches, this in itself is a great achievement.

The subscription fee covers :

• Bedfordshire FA affiliation fees

• League and player registration fees

• Criminal Record Bureau checks for coaches and Committee members Insurance, which were made mandatory on 27th Feb 2017 for anyone involved with a team.

• Coaching courses

• Club website costs (www.wixamswanderers.com)

• 3G facility hire for training and games

• End of Season Trophies

• Fines that have been generated – these will now solely be the responsibility of the managers themselves

One of the club’s on-going principles is to try and set a subscription fee as low as possible. Clubs with equivalent facilities in Bedfordshire are charging up to £160-£190 for the season and some which use grass pitches had the same subscription cost as ours this season, last season. We do try to keep the fees as low as possible but this can only be done with the support of fund raising that takes place during the season, which last season was not very good.

The running costs of the club have been reviewed and the subscription fee for the 2017/18 season is to be £130.00 in a one off payment per player or £140.00 to be paid via BACS which can be spread over 7 months starting in August. There will be discount for siblings, please ask your manager for details.

Please do your best to contribute to the fund raising efforts such as Last Man Standing and the tea & coffee bar on match days for example.

When is payment due? Payment of £65 is required by 01st September with the second £65 due by the 01st October. This season you can spread the payment over 7 months but with a slightly higher total cost of £140 with a payment of £20 per month starting in August. You can pay the full £130 in September but it is essential everyone pays at least £60 by October, as the club have to pay for the whole winter training in advance while also paying match fees weekly. Affiliation fees for each season to the Beds FA and each league which are paid in July before the season commences.

If you choose to pay by instalments then it’s your responsibility to make sure the payments are made on time. Please speak to your child’s team manager if there are any issues with payment.

How can we make payment? We are keen to offer a range of payment options including:

1/ Pay directly into the club bank account quoting your child’s name and age group as the reference. For instance “Henryu8”. The bank details are: Wixams Wanderers, Sort Code 30-99-66, Account number 48472868

2/ Pay via PayPal - You can find the PayPal payment option on the righthand side of this page or any page within the 'About the Club' section. Payment is fully secure and will take you to the Paypal site to complete payment.

3/ Pay by Direct Debit – follow this link to set up https://pay.gocardless.com/AL0000Z4Q3ZCAQ As the club continues to develop, the image and reputation of Wixams Wanderers increases in importance. By your child becoming a member of the club, the player and their parents are agreeing to adhere to the Club Code of Conduct. This year we are introducing a Registration and Consent Form to formalise our records and enable us to register the players where leagues are this season using the FA Whole Game System.

Please remember all kit supplied to the players remains the property of Wixams Wanderers at all times and will need to be returned when replaced with new or if the child leaves the club and will need to be replaced if damaged or lost. Please complete this and pass to your team manager before 20th August 2017. This is required from every player. Thank you for being part of Wixams Wanderers FC and I hope you enjoy the season.

2 more Wanderers players signed by academies

Wixams Knights are delighted for 2 more young players, Oliver Montague and Archie Ord, who have just signed professional academy contracts with Stevenage FC and MK Dons respectively for their U9s in 2017/18.

Oliver joined the Knights in Jan 2016 and has banged in 60 league goals since..probably 59 with his magical left peg, but at least 1 header ! He will be missed by the Knights but not by the opposition defences !

Archie O made his Knights debut in June 2016 during tournament season and has since scored some truly memorable goals and served up some impressove assists..he doesn't do tap ins !

Congratulations to both lads and their families.. We wish you all the best with your football ⚽⚽ Enjoy it all and well deserved!

Last Man Standing

We are running this competition again and we would be grateful if you could encourage as many of your friends and family to enter

They have a chance to win money themselves plus raise some money for the club. All that is required is a one off £5 payment and then weekly team predictions.

It starts on the 4th March.
